According to Android Headlines, Samsung’s next generation of wireless earbuds has surfaced in what appear to be official images, offering the clearest indication yet of how the Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will look when they are unveiled later this month. The new models are expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy S26 smartphone family on February 25, setting up a direct contest with Apple’s AirPods and AirPods Pro.

The images show Samsung preparing two distinct versions of its latest earbuds. One set, finished in black, is understood to be the standard Galaxy Buds 4, while the white pair represents the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Earlier leaks hinted at changes, but these renders provide a more complete view of both the earbuds and their charging case.

Samsung appears to have redesigned the case entirely, moving to a rectangular shape rather than the rounded forms used previously. The earbuds sit flat inside the case, and the front clearly displays Samsung branding. A standout detail is the lid, which looks to be transparent, giving a view of the earbuds when closed. The case itself has a two-tone finish, with a darker base and an inner section that matches the colour of the earbuds. The Pro version seems to follow the same layout, though its base colour is likely white.

While the two earbuds share a similar overall look, there is a clear difference in how they fit. The Galaxy Buds 4 do not use silicone ear tips, echoing the open-fit approach favoured by Apple’s standard AirPods. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, by contrast, include silicone tips designed to create a tighter seal in the ear, which should improve passive noise isolation. Multiple tip sizes are expected to be included in the box to help users find a comfortable fit.

Both models feature visible contact points on the inner side of the stem, along with microphones positioned at the base of the stem and on the rear of the earbud housing. Previous leaks have suggested Samsung may introduce a pinch-and-hold gesture to activate Interpreter Mode, allowing real-time translation through the earbuds.

Battery capacity figures have also circulated, with the standard Galaxy Buds 4 tipped to include a 42 mAh battery per earbud, while the Pro version could increase that to 57 mAh. Samsung has not confirmed these details, so final specifications may still change.

Pricing leaks suggest the Galaxy Buds 4 could launch at around $A295, while the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro may be priced closer to $A410. If accurate, that would place them firmly in competition with Apple’s premium earbuds when they arrive alongside the Galaxy S26 range later this month.
