Samsung’s next wave of foldable smartphones may become the first devices to feature Google’s newly announced Gemini Intelligence platform, according to reports from South Korea.

Google recently revealed Gemini Intelligence as a collection of upcoming AI-powered tools expected to arrive on the Pixel 10 series and Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup later this year. However, new claims suggest Samsung’s foldable devices could receive the software earlier than initially expected.

The report indicates the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 are likely to debut with Gemini Intelligence pre-installed. Samsung’s rumoured Wide Fold device could also be included if it launches alongside the foldables.

The strategy would continue the increasingly close collaboration between Google and Samsung, with the two companies frequently working together on major Android software launches. In recent years, Samsung devices have often gained early access to new Google features before the same tools later appeared on Pixel smartphones.

Although Google eventually expands most Android features across a wider range of manufacturers, Samsung has benefited from temporary exclusivity periods that allow the company to market its flagship devices as the first-place consumers can experience new AI capabilities.

Gemini Intelligence is expected to form part of Samsung’s upcoming One UI 9 software, which has reportedly already entered testing. The new interface will run on Android 17 and is tipped to make its first appearance on Samsung’s next-generation foldable phones.

Industry speculation currently points to a July unveiling for the new foldable lineup, potentially placing Samsung ahead of Google’s own Pixel hardware launch cycle for the rollout of Gemini Intelligence.
