Samsung Developing New ‘DeX Pad’ For Galaxy S9

Samsung’s DeX was a dream come true for tech-lovers, enabling consumers to “turn their phone into a computer”, and now notable tech leaker, Evan Blass, has revealed Samsung is developing a second-gen DeX desktop accessory, to launch with the Galaxy S9 smartphone.

Galaxy Club noticed a trademark application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for the ‘DeX Pad’, adding substance to rumours the next-gen dock will incorporate a flat design, instead of the original upright standing build.

Market commentators predict the flat design will enable consumers to utilise their phone’s display as a virtual keyboard or touchpad, removing the need to carry around a wireless mouse/keyboard.
