Samsung Confirms Fix For Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Quirk
Samsung has acknowledged a minor camera issue affecting the Galaxy S25 Ultra and says a software update is already in development to address it.
The problem relates to the Virtual Aperture function found within the Expert RAW app, a tool aimed at users who want greater manual control over photography. Reports indicate that images captured at 5x zoom can show inconsistent background blur and subject separation, resulting in photos that do not match the intended depth effect.

This feature is designed to simulate the shallow depth of field typically produced by dedicated cameras. Because it sits within a specialist app rather than the standard camera interface, the issue has only been noticed by a smaller group of users who actively use advanced shooting modes.
Samsung has confirmed it was able to reproduce the behaviour internally and has forwarded it for further development work. A fix is expected to be included in a future One UI 8.5 update delivered through a firmware release.
The issue is unlikely to affect most users who rely on automatic settings. However, it highlights how increasingly complex camera software can introduce occasional inconsistencies, particularly in more experimental features.
