Samsung Buffer New Galaxy Tab With S-Pen

With their new Tab A is slated for launch on October 28th, Samsung are shoring up the device by incorporating the next-generation S-Pen originally introduced with the Note 7.

The new S-Pen boasts a sharper pen tip and increased pressure sensitivity to replicate the ease and accuracy of a real pen. It’s also dustproof, waterproof and requires no power to function.

Beyond the stylus, there’s still plenty to get excited about. The Tab A is packing a 1.6GHz Octa-core processor, 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage (with support for up to 256 GB via microSD slot).

These specs promise strong performance while the 7,300mAh battery promises that performance will last close to fourteen hours.

Camera-wise: the Tab A includes an 8 megapixel camera for photos, plus a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

At launch, the Tab A will run on Android 6.0 but an update pushing the OS to Nougat is expected to roll out in due course.

The Tab A comes in two colors (black and white) at an US RRP of $349.99 as of this Friday.

Australian pricing has yet to be confirmed.
