RIISE Expand ANZ Lineup With ZEISS VR

Local distributor RIISE has secured the Australian and New Zealand distribution rights for ZEISS’ range of virtual reality headsets.

The move into the VR space builds on both massive growth in the sector and RIISE’s previous work launching 360fly down under.

It’s a move that encapsulates the company’s approach to business, indicates Nick Segger of RIISE.

“Our focus is on locally representing global companies at the forefront of emerging technologies who have products that deliver a true point of difference in the market. Our work with 360fly, successfully positioning the brand as the ‘go-to’ for professional and consumer 360-degree video through both our retail and marketing efforts, gives us confidence in our model.”

According to Segger, “we are delighted to be working with ZEISS on the Virtual Reality Headset range. These are stunning, well designed headsets with the quality you would expect to come with a ZEISS product.”

“As Virtual Reality continues to grow in awareness and use across both consumer and commercial applications, we believe that offering a premium solution that delivers both comfort and quality will give Australians a new way to enjoy and share their VR content,” he said.

The first byproduct of this partnership will see RIISE bring the ZEISS VR ONE Plus to Australian retailers.

Designed for use with VR-capable smartphones, the headset features and premium optics across a 100° field-of-vision.

“The ZEISS VR ONE Plus headset meets the demands of an evolving VR industry as well as new platforms for immersive and interactive VR. We are excited to bring to the Australia & New Zealand market this high-quality virtual reality experience ensured by the optics in the ZEISS VR ONE Plus through our partnership with RIISE.” said Victor Cheang, Regional Sales Director, SEA & ANZ, for Zeiss.

The ZEISS VR ONE Plus supports all Smartphones (iOS & Android) with displays between 4.7-5.5 inches, and works with the Google VR ecosystem (making it compatible with more than 1000 VR apps).

Segger advises the RIISE has a pipeline of potential partners in “complementary areas”, with more details to be announced heading into 2017.

The ZEISS VR ONE Plus will be available from www.zeissvr.com.au and other leading retailers at a recommended retail price of $199.95.
