Harman-owned US audio brand Revel has unveiled its new Performa4 loudspeaker series, a six-model lineup targeting premium hi-fi and home theatre setups with a focus on lower distortion and wider sound dispersion.

The range includes two floorstanding speakers (F346, F345), two bookshelf models (M146, M145), a centre channel (C245) and a powered subwoofer (B140), positioning Performa4 as a full-system solution for both stereo and multi-channel users.

At the centre of the lineup is Revel’s seventh-generation Acoustic Lens waveguide, paired with a 25mm dome tweeter.

The company claims this design improves integration between drivers, delivering greater dynamic range, reduced distortion and more consistent sound across a room – not just in the “sweet spot”.

New driver materials also headline the update. Revel’s Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) and Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) transducers are designed to increase rigidity while reducing mass, aiming to minimise coloration and improve clarity. These are supported by aluminium driver frames engineered for better airflow and resonance control.

Leading the range, the F346 floorstanders feature a three-way design with triple 165mm woofers, while the B140 subwoofer delivers up to 1500W peak power and bass extension down to 26Hz.

Harman says the series reflects “thousands of hours of research and testing”, building on Revel’s long-standing psychoacoustic design approach.

Pricing for the Performa4 series ranges from US$1,999 (approx. AU$3,000) for bookshelf models up to US$6,999 (approx. AU$10,500) for flagship floorstanders.
