Windows 8 A Scorpio October 26 Offical Launch Date

	The announcement was made by Windows President Steven Sinofsky at Microsoft’s annual sales meeting. The new OS, which works across tablets, notebooks, PCs and smartphones, is set to ignite a boom in new Windows based hardware as major manufacturers get set to launch several variations of devices running Windows 8 software. Microsoft will offer only three versions, two for Intel-based PCs (Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro) and Windows 8 RT for ARM-based tablets. The new OS offers both a traditional desktop interface and the Metro-style touch-friendly UI.
