PS5 game ‘Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’ wasn’t able to be played without the console’s fast SSD, but now the exclusive will coming to PCs with traditional hard drives and Steam Deck.
It’s been reported as officially Steam Deck Verified, and appears that way in Valve’s storefront.
The game was originally an exclusive to PS5 due to gamers need a desktop Radeon RX 470 or better to access 720p resolution at 30 frames per second.
These graphic cards aren’t comparable to Steam Deck’s integrated GPU, and now ‘Rift Apart;’ is expected to have been optimised for the Deck’s custom AMD ‘Aerith’ chip, possibly relying heavily on AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution, and running below 720p with intelligent static upscaling.
All Valve promises the Steam Deck Verified badge means the game has been spot checked, and will launch and run smoothly with the default settings.
