Philips Unveils Hue Smart Mirror With Alexa
Philips has further expanded its Hue smart lights brand, with the addition of an illuminated bathroom mirror featuring Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility.
The new ‘Adore Bathroom’ mirror is a notable inclusion for Philips’ Hue portfolio, with the company known for its range of singular indoor and outdoor smart light bulbs.
Philips Hue Adore Bathroom mirror operates as a standalone light-up mirror, however, is also compatible with the Hue smartphone app, and offers voice control support.
Users can integrate the bathroom mirror with an existing smart home ecosystem, and connect to either their Google Home, compatible Alexa device or Apple’s HomeKit.
The new smart bathroom mirror is IP44 water and dust resistant, and requires wiring as a single unit directly to an adjacent wall.
Contrasting Hue’s other smart lights, the Adore Bathroom mirror only offers an adjustable white light. However, for individuals who want clarity when applying cosmetics or makeup, a lack of colour is not an terrible omission.
It does mean the mirror is not capable of displaying colourful hues when entertaining or throwing a party.
While listed to Philips’ American website, no word of pricing or global availability is currently provided.
Australian pricing and availability yet to be confirmed.
