Paramount+ is highlighting a collection of LGTBQ+ films and TV shows to celebrate Pride Month, under the banner A Mountain of Pride.
The collection launched overnight, and features over 235 movies and TV shows under the Mountain of Pride banner.
The content will be housed under 12 different collections, each featuring specific LGTBQ+ content: everything from reality TV content to a collection of Showtime movies.
Among the shows highlighted are Gay Chorus Deep South, George Michael: A Different Story, Ex on the Beach, RuPaul’s Drag Race, A Chorus Line, Kinky Boots, and Fire Island.
This show of support comes as a number of American and international companies such as Bud Light, Target, and Kohl have been targeted by hate groups for their various Pride Month efforts.
Target said it has been forced to remove some products related to Pride Month from its stores after a backlash from customers threatened employee safety.
“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and well-being while at work,” a spokesperson for the branch said.
Homophobic customers confronted workers in stores, knocked down Pride merchandise displays, and posted threats of violence on social media alongside in-store videos of the displays.
“We have a longstanding commitment to the LGBTQ community, and we stand firm in that,” the spokeswoman said, “but the reality is that the safety situation has become untenable.”
