Online Shopping On Smartphones Surpasses Desktops

According to e-commerce solution provider Demandware, smartphones users have overtaken desktop ones when it comes to online shopping.

The firm claims mobile users accounted for 45.1 percent of online-shopping traffic in the first quarter of 2016, inches ahead of the the 45% of users on computers.

According to ComScore, the amount of online shopping conducted via mobile has more than doubled between 2013 and 2015.

However, Demandware also found that inelegant and convoluted checkout procedures often deter customers from completing their orders.
