New Xbox One X Announced November Release

Microsoft is set to release a new small gaming console, the Xbox One X will go on sale in Australia It’s expected to cost around $699 which is more than Sony’s high-end PlayStation 4 Pro.

The big software Company who have struggled to grow share in the console gaming market resulting in the Company refusing to release sales numbers, claims that their new console packs in more power, speed and graphical fidelity than its predecessors.

Microsoft updated the Xbox One last year with the Xbox One S, a white redesign of the original black console that reduced its size by 40 percent. Unlike the Xbox One S, the Xbox One X will come in black — although it looks very like the white console in shape and design, as you can see above. As previously announced, the Xbox One X will contain a 1 TB hard drive.

The announcement which was made by Xbox chief Phil Spencer at a press briefing ahead of the E3 Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. He said that there won’t be any games made solely for the Xbox One X.

He did say that it will be compatible with games developed for the original Xbox One and Xbox 360, many of which will play faster and look better, the company said.

Microsoft first revealed that the Xbox One X was under development a year ago, giving it the code name Project Scorpio.

Meanwhile, rival Sony has released a beefier PlayStation 4 and unlike Microsoft Sony has said all models of the PlayStation 4 combined have sold more than 60 million units world-wide to date.

Microsoft stopped reporting Xbox unit sales in late 2014, though analysts estimate that only 20-30 million units have been sold to date.

Microsoft and Sony both introduced their previous generation consoles in late 2013. Nintendo in March released the Switch for $299, in what so far has been a successful launch following poor sales of its predecessor, the Wii U, which first went on sale in 2012.
