New LG Friend Arrives: Action CAM Rollout Commences
LG’s latest Friend is launching, with the LG Action CAM LTE today rolling out in South Korea, with more markets to follow in the coming weeks.
The Action CAM is one of a suite of LG Friends smartphone companion devices unveiled by LG this year.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, the Action CAM is equipped with built-in LTE connectivity, with users able to stream directly to sites such as YouTube Live via wireless 3G and 4G networks.
Rated IP67, it is dust and sand-proof, and can be immersed in up to one metre of water for up to 30 minutes.
Images and videos can be downloaded and saved on paired smartphones via the Action CAM LTE app, available via Google Play, with the camera able to record up to three hours of full-HD video on smartphones running Android 5.0 or iOS 9 and higher.
It comes with a mount, and is also compatible with various third party camera mounts.
LG states that prices and exact dates of availability will be announced locally.
