Netflix are helping victims of the password crackdown rehome their profiles by allowing users to import account settings and recommendations to an existing account.
Many users are being kicked off accounts outside the paying member’s household, and are now struggling with keeping hold of their settings.
Netflix had previously set up a feature to allow existing profiles to be imported into a new account, but now its enabling profiles to be imported into existing accounts.
“Starting today, the profile transfer feature has been updated to allow transfers to an existing account (instead of requiring a new account).”
Users just need to log into the paying member’s account, access the Profile Transfer option, and follow instruction to sync their profile with the second account, new or existing.
