Myer Recalls Cooks Collective Stand Mixer Over Electric Shock Risk
A national electrical safety recall has been issued for The Cooks Collective Culinary Professional Stand Mixer sold through Myer stores across Australia, following concerns that the appliance poses a serious electric shock hazard.
The affected product is the Cooks Collective brand stand mixer supplied with a metal bowl, model number CFM367. According to the recall notice, the mixer can generate or retain an electric charge during operation. Testing found that the charge level may exceed the limits permitted under Australian electrical safety standards.

As a result of this fault, users may be exposed to electric shock if they touch the beater shaft while also coming into contact with the earthed metal casing of the appliance. Authorities have warned that this presents a significant safety risk, including the potential for serious injury or death. There have already been reported incidents in which consumers experienced electric shock while using the mixer.
Customers who own the affected model are being urged to stop using it immediately and unplug it from the power outlet. Consumers are advised to return the mixer to their nearest Myer store to receive a full refund.

For those unable to attend a store in person, Myer’s Customer Service Centre can arrange a pre-paid return label, allowing the product to be sent back via Australia Post at no cost to the customer.
Myer has encouraged all purchasers of the CFM367 stand mixer to act promptly to minimise the risk of harm.
