MOVA has expanded its partnership with Essendon Football Club and unveiled its new Z70 Ultra Roller robot vacuum in Australia for the first time.

The smart home brand announced AFLW players Bonnie Toogood and Georgia Nanscawen as its latest ambassadors at an event held at Essendon’s NEC Hangar headquarters in Melbourne.

They join Essendon AFL players Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish as MOVA representatives.

MOVA became Essendon’s official home cleaning appliance, outdoor lawnmowing and personal care products partner earlier this year and will now serve as a co-major partner of the club’s AFLW program for the upcoming season.

The event also marked the Australian debut of the MOVA Z70 Ultra Roller, a premium robot vacuum featuring a continuous fresh-water roller-mopping system.

The device uses MOVA’s HydroForce technology to clean the roller during operation, reducing the risk of dirty water being spread across floors.

It also offers up to 36,000Pa of suction, intelligent carpet protection, obstacle-crossing technology and automated self-maintenance.

MOVA said the system had been designed to address common robot vacuum issues including wet carpets, dirty mop drag, missed areas and difficulty navigating thresholds.

MOVA Australia country manager Nancy Zhang said the expanded partnership with Essendon reflected the company’s growing investment in the local market.

“We were incredibly proud to welcome Zach Merrett and Darcy Parish as our first Australian brand ambassadors, and today we’re equally excited to welcome Bonnie Toogood and Georgia Nanscawen to the MOVA family,” Zhang said.

“They represent the very best of Essendon Football Club and demonstrate our commitment to recognising excellence equally across both our AFL and AFLW partnerships.”

Toogood, Essendon’s inaugural AFLW captain, said MOVA’s investment in the women’s program sent a positive message about the growth of the competition.

Nanscawen said smart home technology had helped reduce the time she spent on household tasks around training and recovery.

MOVA has been expanding its Australian presence across robotic cleaning, lawn care and personal care products as it looks to increase its retail footprint and brand awareness.
