DJI appears to be preparing a second-generation version of its Osmo 360 camera, with leaked prototype images pointing to a larger battery and possible improvements to video recording.

Images shared by DJI leaker Igor Bogdanov (below) show what is claimed to be an Osmo 360 II being tested alongside the original model.

The new camera retains a similar square design and dual-lens layout, suggesting DJI may be focusing on internal upgrades rather than a major redesign.

Regulatory filings for a device carrying the model number OQ002 reveal a 2,150mAh battery, up from the 1,950mAh battery used in the original Osmo 360.

The increase could deliver longer recording times or support more powerful processing hardware.

The Osmo 360 II is also rumoured to support 8K video recording at 60 frames per second, improving on the original camera’s maximum 8K/50fps capability.

NFC support has also been reported, potentially allowing users to pair the camera with a smartphone or initiate file transfers by tapping the devices together.

DJI launched the first Osmo 360 in July 2025 with dual 1/1.1-inch sensors, panoramic photos of up to 120MP and native 8K video recording.

DJI has not confirmed the successor or announced pricing or availability, although the prototype sightings and regulatory filings suggest development is well advanced.
