Motorola To Unveil New Phones In April, Changes Leadership

Despite its absence at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, Motorola has revealed its new product range will unveil next month. Assumed to be new smartphones, the news follows the appointment of new Motorola President and Chairman, Sergio Buniac.

Announced in a blog post, Mr Buniac holds over twenty years of experience at Motorola, spanning across leadership roles, strategic planning and product management.

Enclosed in its leadership announcement, Motorola claims it has seen notable “transformation” in recent years, with 2018’s first products to be revealed in April:

“We realize we’ve had a great deal of transformation over the past years, and we’re grateful for our fans’ support and commitment”

“We’re excited for what 2018 (and beyond!) is going to bring us and look forward to sharing our first products of the year with you next month!”.

The news comes after Trusted Reviews, revealed Amazon UK had prematurely posted a listing for the new Motorola G6.

Buniac takes the helm from former Motorola President, Aymar de Lencquesaing, who is leaving to spend time with his family and pursue recreational hobbies.

Mr Buniac has been credited for leading Motorola’s Latin America business, which the company claims is now #2 in its market.
