Motorola Launch One Vision Exclusive To JB Hi-Fi

Motorola has launched its new smartphone, available online from today exclusively through JB Hi-Fi.

The Motorola One Vision ($499) is the Lenovo-owned phone brand’s entrant to the “premium-mid-tier” smartphone market.

The One Vision is Motorola’s first Android One phone available in Australia, giving users a clean and secure, near-stock Android operating system.

Motorola provides three years of security and software updates (back-dated to the worldwide launch of the phone in May of this year).

Amid an increasingly heated mid-range smartphone market, the One Vision comes impressively specced to help compete with Samsung’s A-series.

The phone comes with an ultra-wide 21:9 FHD+ 6.3-inch full-screen display with a 25MP holepunch front-facing camera, and 4GB/128GB memory configuration.

Storage can also be expanded with microSD up to 512GB.

Despite now being in direct competition with Samsung, the One Vision uses the Korean tech giant’s Exynos 9609 octa-core processor.

The processor is key to the One Vision’s AI-powered camera, which shoots at resolutions up to 48MP at f/1.7, providing what Motorola’s general manager of sales Danny Adamopoulos called “best-in-class night-time photography”.

The 3500mAh battery supports Motorola’s turbopower recharging, which claims to deliver 7 hours use after 15 minutes on charge (provided the battery is sufficiently depleted to support turbopower).

The Motorola One Vision is available online from today, and in stores starting next Monday, July 22.
