Moto G50 To Get Android 12 Update

Eligible Motorola devices are slowly being updated to Android 12, the latest of which being the Moto G50. At this point, the update has only been rolled out to the XT2137-1-DS model in the UK, however the rest of the world is sure to follow.

It is important to note that the Moto G50 5G is yet to receive the update, and is not eligible for the latest rollout.

Previously, the Moto G200 5G was updated to Android 12, and their flagship Edge 30 Pro was launched with it. The Edge 20 Pro has also begun to be updated with Android 12, starting with the Brazilian model.

Motorola had previously announced that their market share had grown 50% in Australia. While they are yet to explain these numbers, their rollout of Android 12 across their wide range of devices seeks to make them more competitive against brands such as Samsung and Apple, particularly in the low-end market.

Motorola are known for not updating their phones as long term as their competitors.
