Miele has unveiled a streamlined version of its premium laundry range in the US, cutting the number of washer and dryer models while introducing new connected features and refreshed styling aimed at making the buying process simpler.

The updated collection now consists of six models, down from 10 previously. Consumers can now choose from a washer and matching heat-pump dryer in each of Miele’s Gold, Platinum and Diamond product tiers, creating a more straightforward range without removing the brand’s core fabric care technologies.

The new appliances continue to use Miele’s front-loading washer and heat-pump dryer platform, but add software enhancements designed to improve convenience and automate more of the washing and drying process.

One of the headline additions is Wash2Dry, a feature that allows a compatible washer to automatically send the selected wash program to the dryer. Once the wash cycle finishes, the dryer selects the appropriate drying settings without requiring any manual adjustment.

The Platinum and Diamond models also feature Miele’s TwinDos automatic detergent dispensing system, which measures and releases the correct amount of detergent for each load. These premium models also include QuickIntenseWash for faster full-size loads and SingleWash, a program designed for washing individual garments more efficiently.

Miele has also expanded the capabilities of its Miele@home smart app. Users can now remotely activate functions including Water+, Prewash and Soaking, while EcoFeedback provides insights into water and energy consumption. Diamond-tier appliances also support MobileStart through the company’s MTouch control interface, allowing wash cycles to be started remotely.

Miele's refreshed premium laundry range

The premium laundry range introduces a new visual design across much of the portfolio. All washing machines, along with Platinum and Diamond dryers, now feature an obsidian black door surrounded by a contrasting white trim. Miele says the Gold and Platinum models continue to share the same control layout, making it easier for customers to mix and match washers and dryers while maintaining a consistent appearance.

Across the range, Miele continues to use its signature honeycomb drum, which is designed to provide gentler treatment of fabrics during washing. The heat-pump dryers also continue to operate at lower temperatures than conventional dryers, helping reduce energy use while minimising wear on clothing.

The company says every appliance is built to meet its 20-year durability testing standard, reflecting its long-standing focus on longevity and premium build quality.

The refreshed premium laundry range is now available through authorised Miele retailers across the US. Pricing starts at US$1,999, which converts to approximately A$3,060.
