Microsoft’s Surface Studio Hits Oz

Announced back in October, Microsoft’s Surface Studio all-in-one PC is now available to Australian customers via Microsoft’s online and retail stores.

The Surface Studio comes preloaded with an i5 (or i7) quad core processor and an Nvidia GTX 980M – along with up to 32GB of RAM and either a 1TB or 2TB hard drive.

As put by Microsoft, “Surface Studio is a device created around you and your thoughtfully designed workspace. The minimal and modern design sits perfectly on your well thought out desk, with clean lines and a small footprint.”

Boasting a slick 28-inch ‘Pixelsense’ display, Microsoft are promising to turn your desktop into a full-blown creative studio here – and that’s a pledge that may well ring loudly for Mac users left dissatisfied with Apple’s recent negligence of their needs.

The lower-end i5 model Surface Studio is priced at $4699 while the higher-end i7 variants range from $5499 (1TB) to $6599 (2TB).

Meanwhile: the device’s key accessory, the Surface Dial, comes in at $149.95

The Microsoft Surface Studio is available now through Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi and Microsoft’s own retail stores.
