Microsoft is preparing for a visual overhaul of its Sticky Notes app, with a leaked screenshot revealing a fresh interface, with light purple shades, and a new purple logo.
The visual changes could mean a deeper integration between Sticky Notes and OneNote is underway.
Despite the changes, the functionality of the app remains the same.
The notes will still be in their rectangular windows, but will now be neatly grouped within a “Recent Notes” section.
Additionally, there’s a new search bar for assisting users with locating older notes.
There’s also a new pop-out window for composing notes, boasting formatting options including bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, and bulleted / numbered lists.
The Sticky Notes app was originally only available to Windows 10, but later expanded to Android and iOS devices.
Microsoft also previously tied the app to OneNote, which allows users to access notes directly from the OneNote app on other devices.
