Apple Set To Sting Oz Customers With New Mac Pro + New Desk Free PC

A patent for a “desk-free” computer has been
granted to Apple by the US Patent and Trademark Office.

The all in-one PC delivers the screen display onto a surface
using a built-in projector output. The projector would offer an advanced
optical engine for extreme-angle projection so you could have the box close up
to a wall while still keeping a pretty decent sized picture.

Meanwhile Apple is set to start flogging their new
cylindrical Mac Pro which comes with a 3.7GHZ quad-core Intel Xeon E5
processor, 12GB of memory, and 256GB of flash storage. The price is $3999. The
same PC in the USA is $US2999. Taking into account Exchange rates and a local
GST the cost is $300 more for Australian buyers.
