The live stream of Federal Circuit and Family Court’s hearing of tennis star Novak Djokovic’s visa appeal has been plagued by numerous technical issues today, including the streaming of pornographic videos by hackers, a denial of service hack, and users flooding the Microsoft Teams link.

The court reports “people claiming to be members of the Serbian press intermittently blasting folk music and memes”.

The hearing was delayed for hours, then suffered dropouts as viewers joined the chat and left their microphones on, despite warnings by the judge for them to turn their microphones off.

The hearing was postponed to 1pm, then 3:15pm, then 3:45pm. It still hasn’t gone ahead.

The YouTube link for the live stream displayed a half-hour live view of a court clerk fumbling with Teams, moving screens around.

At 3:53, the court finally came into session, before being almost immediately adjourned. Novak’s lawyer, Christopher Tran (pictured above trying to connect to Teams, requested an extension to Djokovic’s deportation injunction, which was set for 4pm. He was granted an extension of 4 hours.
