Integrate 2013: What To Expect

The first ever combined CEDIA/Integrate show is taking place tomorrow after the merger between CEDIA and Integrate Expo, earlier this year.

Australasia’s largest AV IT industry event, pledges to bring AV and electronic systems sectors together for the first time – combining pro audio with lighting, home networking and automation.
Going on until Thursday 29 August, there will be opportunities to learn, share ideas and network, says its organisers.
In recent times, the annual Cedia event was becoming a more ‘sparky-only’ affair with Panasonic, Pioneer, Samsung, LG and Yamaha all pulling out of last years show.
Clare Ward took over as CEDIA Asia Pacific Executive Director, earlier this year after Stephen Miller stepped down.
“We have seen some significant changes at CEDIA Asia Pacific this year, but none more exciting than working with Integrate to bring a bigger and better platform to the region’s electronic systems industry” says Ward.
CEDIA Asia Pacific also have a stand (at L10) as well as Push Controls, Amber, Qualifi.
The new event is going to be “a blitzer,” AV dealer Len Walls, and Cedia Chairman predicts.
Integrate is a “good format” and the Pro AV sector are coming back in droves, he told CN.
Registrations from both CEDIA members and Integrate hit record numbers by Tuesday last, and another 600 registered on Friday alone.
A few wholesalers held back this year, he notes, but says it will be a “serious show” in future years.
Over 550 top brands will be at the show at Sydney’s Convention Centre, including Canon, LG, Panasonic who will be demoing new short-throw lens and 64:9 Ultra-Wide Camera System.
There will also be large screen commercial  4K TV’s, LG’s 47″ LED-LCD Outdoor Monitor, Push Controls be unveiling new ADA Rapture AVR from Network Audio Visual and Gilkon XTND Series 2 modular video wall system from Wilson & Gilkes.
There are also be speakers from InfoComm University bringing latest AV trends fresh from InfoComm 2013, CEDIA Training including keynote ‘7 Things Your Competitors Are Doing Now’ and Technologies for Worship Pavilion sessions.
