Logitech Launches Videoconferencing Bars With Native Zoom, Teams

Logitech has unveiled a new suite of videoconferencing products that work natively with Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including two video bars.

Thew new Logitech Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini are built for medium and small-sized rooms respectively, while RoomMate allows users to run conference calls on cameras such as Rally Plus without needing an attached computer.

Each can use Teams and Zoom without needing to be hooked up to a PC or Mac, but can connect via USB to both desktop and laptop machines. According to Scott Wharton, general manager and vice president, Logitech Video Collaboration, the new products represent affordable quality.

“From ease of use and manageability, to bringing scale to businesses, we want to make products bigger and better, while reducing complexity. Our goal is to put video in every meeting space in the world.

“In order to do that, we need to make it easy, simple and cost-effective, which is what we believe we’ve achieved with this new portfolio of products,” he said.

Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini each feature 4K video, with up to 5X optical and 15X digital zoom on the Rally Bar. Each includes low-distortion speakers and an adaptive beamforming microphone array, and comes with Logitech RightSense technology and AI Viewfinder.

Rally Bar is set to release at the end of Q1 2021, with Rally Bar Mini and RoomMate to follow. Rally Bar will start at $3999 USD ($5200 AUD), Rally Bar Mini at $2999 USD ($3900 AUD), and RoomMate at $999 USD ($1300 AUD). Official Australian pricing has yet to be confirmed.
