LG Launching V40 ThinQ October 4th

Confirming previous rumours, LG has revealed its forthcoming flagship phone the ‘V40 ThinQ’ will launch on October 4th, with its event invitation alluding to a five camera set-up.

The device will be LG’s second flagship phone to launch this year, joining the already released G7 ThinQ.

It comes as LG continues to expand its Australian smartphone portfolio, with its affordable ‘Q Stylus’ releasing early this month. The device is an alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy Note series, with lower-end specs at a cheaper price.

The new V40 ThinQ is set to face intense market competition, with Huawei and Google also planning an October smartphone launch.

Whilst the event promo doesn’t reveal too much, it does allude to a triple rear camera set-up, resulting in a total of five.

The triple rear camera set-up is said to include a standard lens, super wide-angle and telephoto.

The new V40 ThinQ is presumed to include LG’s Google Assistant and AI integration, as per its ‘ThinQ’ branding.

As previously reported, leaked image renders of the device have already emerged online.
