Lenovo Finally Launches Smart Displays In Oz

Following its American launch earlier this year, Lenovo Australia has finally launched its new ‘Smart Displays’ in Australia, priced at A$299 for an 8-inch model and A$399 for a 10-inch.

The Google Assistant powered devices take on Amazon’s Echo Show and Google’s rumoured Hub.

 

Lenovo Smart Displays are powered by the Android Things platform, which launched in Beta prior to Google I/O.

The two models offer an 8-inch 1280×800 and 1920×1200 resolution display respectively. Both are powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM and 4GB of storage ready to go.

Both the 8-inch and 10-inch models has a front facing 5MP camera, and for those who want extra privacy, both come with a manual cover switch. Both offer dual microphones and 10 watt speakers. ideal for video playback, video calls, and more.
