Kogan.com has announced it’s gifting a free 30 day mobile plan (with 16GB data and unlimited texts and calls) with purchases of over 200 eligible smartphones.
The limited time offer is valid until 11:59PM AEST August 29th (full T&Cs here), and includes flagship handsets such as the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9, Google Pixel 2 XL and Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
The promotion is restricted to new Kogan Mobile customers, with the free mobile plan automatically added to a buyer’s e-cart.
Powered by the Vodafone 4G network, Kogan Mobile claims to offer “no hidden fees” (e.g. payout fees, unlocking costs).
The news follows mounting support for grey market phone regulation, with Kogan.com known for selling ‘direct import’ smartphones.
As previously reported, Alcatel VP and Regional MD South East Asia and Pacific, Sam Skontos, has continued to call upon government intervention to fight the growth of grey market imported smartphones in Australia.
