Kaiser Baas, Big Ticks Ingram, Expands In US, While Moving Into Home Automation

Melbourne based distributor Kaiser Baas who recently rebranded, is set to enter the home automation market with several Wi Fi enabled products including a doorbell that will take on Ring.

The Company has also struck a deal to enter the US market with their drones, action cameras and home automation gear.

In Australia, the Company recently appointed Ingram Micro a move which Kaiser Baas CEO Evan Kourambas claims has delivered them access to new retailers.

He said, “Ingram Micro has 30 reps on the road and because of moving to this distributor we have been able to get into Telco stores, BigW and the likes of Australia Post”.

He admitted that the Company is currently stretched due to their overseas expansion.

“We are currently expanding as a result profits are being reinvested in the business. Our European business and our Middle East business is growing and this has stretched the Company. Going forward our overseas business will be bigger than Australia”. He said.

Kourambas told ChannelNews that he has recently cut a deal with a Hong Kong based supplier to deliver a new range of home automation kit that will include “sensors” that can be activated over a Wi Fi network.

“The new division will be called KB Home and it will include products that take on the likes of Ring which is a doorbell system that has a built in camera” he said.
