However, Seattle’s 5 Point Café, like many other bars and restaurants in the US, has ruled that any guest who insists on wearing a Google Glass while on the premises will simply be asked to leave – pronto.

” The 5 Point is the first Seattle business to ban in advance Google Glasses. And ass-kickings will be encouraged for violators,” reads a post by 5 Point Café on its Facebook page.

A Google spokesman said: “It is still very early days for Glass, and we expect that as with other new technologies – such as cell phones – behaviours and social norms will develop over time.”
