Jam, Sol Republic + House Of Marley Deliver Big Growth Via JB Hi Fi
Homedics the Company that last year acquired the Sol Republic brand have used CES 2017 to reveal several new products for 2017 across their House of Marley, Sol Republic and Jam Brands.
Partnering with JB Hi Fi the Company has had what has been described as a “spectacular” Xmas New Year. Their Jamoji speaker sold 30,000 units “in a matter of days” said Michael Tapp General Manager at the Melbourne based Company.
Another brand that was highly successful was Jam who is delivering a range of new products including a speaker range which the Company claims is cheaper and “far superior” to the Sonos Play and Sonos 3 speakers that sell at almost double the price of what a Jam product is selling for at JB Hi Fi.
“Jam is an affordable brand for people who cannot afford the premium price that a lot of the big sound brands are asking” claims Tapp.
He said that his Company is all about “sell through” and not “sell in”.
“One has to remember that we own a product till the end of a warranty period so we build our products to last which is why brands such as Jam are proving to not only be technologically superior but made from materials that appeal to consumers,” he said.
Currently Homedics is rolling out several new products including a pair of in ear buds that will sell for $199 (See separate Jam story).
After taking over the Sol Republic brand which at the time was suffering cash flow and R+D investment problems, Homedics moved quickly to improve the performance and overall look of the brand.
Shortly the Company will launch new Sol Republic Buds which come with a charging case that delivers three hours battery life and can charge a pair of buds seven times before the charging case needs to be re powered. In Australia the Sports Wireless headphones sold out at JB Hi.
Since taking over the Company Homedics have delivered a major upgrade to the Companies popular H2 headphones with an improved sound engine and improved quality to the overall materials.
Also coming is a new turntable from Marley as well as a new ‘Bag of Rhythm” portable speaker that delivers amazing sound and only costs $299.
