Is This The New Look For Samsung Frame TVs? Canvas Unveils Bigger HiFi Frame Despite B&O Legal Fight
Danish audio brand Canvas HiFi has unveiled a larger version of its premium TV-and-speaker system, despite an ongoing legal stoush involving Bang & Olufsen and Samsung over the design of the original HiFi Frame.
The new CANVAS L, shown at High End Vienna 2026, is a bigger and more powerful version of the company’s all-in-one wireless speaker and soundbar platform, designed for TVs ranging from 65 inches up to 115 inches.
It follows the earlier Samsung and Canvas HiFi collaboration around the HiFi Frame (pictured below), which combined Samsung’s The Frame TV concept with a high-end Danish audio system and premium furniture-style finishes.
That product became the subject of legal action last year, when fellow Danish brand Bang & Olufsen claimed the Samsung + Canvas HiFi Frame infringed the design of its Beovision Contour television.

As ChannelNews reported last October, B&O alleged the HiFi Frame carried “striking similarities” to the Beovision Contour, including the use of an integrated TV-and-speaker frame with minimalist Scandinavian styling.
B&O demanded that the product be removed from sale, existing stock destroyed and compensation paid.
Canvas HiFi rejected the claims, arguing its design was developed independently and that Samsung’s Frame TV design predated B&O’s Contour.
Now Canvas is pushing ahead with a more ambitious product.
The CANVAS L features a wider cabinet, new driver array, improved BACCH 3D+ processing, expanded connectivity and peak power rated at 1,500 watts.

It includes 8-inch woofers, a custom 3-inch Scan-Speak midrange driver, SB Acoustics tweeter modules, additional passive radiators and a GaN power supply.
The system also supports removable wood or fabric grilles and can be configured with the optional HiFi FRAME L for installations using Samsung The Frame TVs.
Canvas CEO Laust Nielsen said the ambition was to deliver “a true audiophile experience” integrated into contemporary interior design.
The CANVAS L is expected to be available in Q4, with European pricing starting at €5,999 before optional grille and finish upgrades.
No final court judgment resolving the B&O dispute has been publicly reported.
For Samsung, the unveiling poses the question of whether its lifestyle TV range is evolving from art-style screens into fully integrated luxury entertainment furniture.
