Ingram Micro Opens New North Sydney Headquarters
Ingram Micro has officially opened its new Sydney headquarters in the A grade office tower at 40 Mount Street in North Sydney. The launch event, held last night, brought together employees and VIP guests and featured a keynote address from Hope McGarry, Executive Managing Director of Ingram Micro Australia.
McGarry described the relocation as a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation. She highlighted customer focus as a core principle behind the move and said the new location strengthens the company’s ability to support customers and vendors.
“Customer obsession is our mantra and this move to be closer to our customers and vendors reflects this,” McGarry said. “The tech industry thrives on relationships and we are now ideally located to serve our customers and vendors more effectively than ever.”

She added that the new headquarters provides an environment designed to inspire innovation, encourage collaboration and support the wellbeing of Ingram Micro staff. “We are proud and excited to take residence in 40 Mount Street. It is an iconic and sophisticated building in the heart of North Sydney’s commercial precinct. It is the ideal environment for us to enable businesses to thrive through technology.”
The new office brings together Ingram Micro’s corporate, commercial and specialist service teams from the company’s former location in Rosebery. The workspace has been designed with hybrid work in mind and allows for deeper engagement with customers and partners.
McGarry noted that North Sydney provides strong advantages for talent acquisition. “For us as a service business, North Sydney is the ideal environment to attract and retain the best people. We have invested significantly in building our local expert teams and this move gives us access to the broadest talent pool for future growth.”
A Growing Hub for Innovation
Ingram Micro joins a rapidly evolving commercial precinct that is emerging as one of Greater Sydney’s most productive economic zones. North Sydney contributes an estimated 23 billion dollars to the New South Wales economy and is supported by a workforce dominated by high value, knowledge based industries. Professional, Scientific and Technical Services together with Information Media and Telecommunications and Financial Services account for more than half of local employment.
Global technology companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks and Lenovo are already established in the area. Their presence strengthens North Sydney’s position as a magnet for talent, innovation and investment.
North Sydney Council Mayor Zoë Baker welcomed Ingram Micro to the community. “It is wonderful to see a business so central to the technology landscape make North Sydney home. Businesses like Ingram Micro strengthen our reputation as a hub for innovation, creativity and economic opportunity.”
The region also hosts major IT resellers and service providers including Data3, Precision IT, Lab3, MCR IT, Infosys, HCLTech, ICT Networks and L2X. Ingram Micro supports these organisations with services that span logistics, financing, marketing, education, training and business development, along with specialisations in cloud, cyber security and artificial intelligence.

Commitment to Sustainability
The company’s move aligns with its “10 to Zero” sustainability strategy, which sets ambitious targets for zero greenhouse gas emissions, zero waste and zero injuries by 2030. The new building supports these goals and has earned a 6 star Green Star rating for Office Design and As Built along with a 3 star Green Star Performance rating. It also holds a 5.5 star NABERS energy rating and a 4.5 star NABERS water rating.
