IKEA has partnered with Swedish designer Tekla Evelina Severin to introduce the Teklan collection, a vibrant new series of home tech products that blends bold colour with practical design. The collaboration features three standalone Bluetooth speakers and two lamp speakers, each wrapped in Severin’s signature palette of striking hues. IKEA first revealed plans for this collection at the start of the year with a target release in early 2026, so this earlier than expected rollout marks a notable shift in its launch strategy. Having already introduced several new speakers after ending its partnership with Sonos earlier this year, IKEA appears ready to establish a stronger presence in the home audio space.

The SOLSKYDD speakers form the visual centrepiece of the collection. These round Bluetooth speakers come in three sizes, each decorated with a geometric pattern that reinforces the designer’s aesthetic. The smallest model is an 8 inch portable speaker equipped with a rechargeable battery. The 11 inch and 18 inch versions will require mains power. The mid-sized option can sit on an included base or be displayed hanging on a wall, while the largest model is intended solely for wall mounting. IKEA will also release the SOLSKYDD in a plain white design for those who prefer a more subdued option. All speakers support multi speaker mode and can pair with other compatible IKEA Bluetooth speakers, and they include Spotify Tap for a seamless jump back into listening.

The Teklan collection expands further with a pair of Bluetooth speaker lamps called KULGLASS. These lamps feature shades inspired by soft-serve ice cream and are available in red or green. Each lamp includes a built-in volume knob for quick adjustments.

Rounding out the line-up is a colourful redesign of the budget friendly VAPPEBY Bluetooth speaker, known for its waterproof and highly portable build, as well as a selection of braided charging cables. Both the VAPPEBY refresh and the cables arrived earlier this year. The new Teklan products are set to reach stores globally in December with specific release dates varying by region.
