HP has expanded its gaming portfolio at its Imagine 2026 event, announcing two new OMEN desktops headlined by NVIDIA’s next-gen RTX 50-series GPUs.

The flagship OMEN MAX 45L (pictured below) is positioned as a high-performance desktop for demanding gaming and creative workloads.

It features Intel’s Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor, which HP claims delivers up to 10% better gaming performance over the previous generation. Buyers can configure the system with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, alongside as much as 128GB of DDR5 memory.

HP is also leaning heavily into thermal performance, equipping the 45L with its second-generation Cryo Chamber cooling system and support for a 360mm liquid cooler. A fully modular 1200W power supply is included, aimed at ensuring stability and future upgrade flexibility. The chassis adopts a tool-less design with improved cable management, making component swaps more accessible.

For users seeking a more affordable entry point, HP has introduced the OMEN 35L (below). It uses the same Intel Core Ultra 7 processor but steps down to an RTX 5080 GPU.

The system focuses on delivering consistent gaming performance with reduced noise, supported by an optimised thermal layout. Like its bigger sibling, it features a tool-less chassis and standardised components for easier upgrades.

On the software side, HP is expanding its OMEN AI platform, adding support for more titles and enhancing automatic performance tuning. Updates to the OMEN Gaming Hub will also provide users with greater control over system settings and optimisation.

HP says the OMEN MAX 45L will be available from May, with local pricing yet to be confirmed. Availability details for Australia are expected closer to launch.
