Hisense Doubles Down On RGB Mini LED With Expanded 2026 TV Line-Up
Hisense has outlined its television range for 2026, placing RGB Mini LED technology at the centre of its strategy while expanding into more widely accessible screen sizes.
After debuting the technology in oversized models last year, the company is now bringing it into more conventional formats through two new series. The UR9S will be offered in 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch options, while the slightly lower-tier UR8S adds a 55-inch model and extends up to 100 inches.
Both ranges use RGB Mini LED backlighting and are driven by a new Hi-View AI Engine designed to optimise colour and contrast. Hisense has also added an anti-reflection coating aimed at improving visibility in brighter rooms. Each model supports a native refresh rate of 180Hz and is capable of handling 4K content at the same speed, positioning them as high-end options for gaming.
The main distinction between the two sits in brightness levels. The UR9S is rated at up to 4000 nits, while the UR8S reaches 3500 nits. Differences in dimming zones are expected but have not yet been detailed. Connectivity also varies slightly, with the UR9S including three HDMI 2.1 ports alongside a USB-C display input, while the UR8S offers four HDMI 2.1 connections.
Audio has again been developed in collaboration with Devialet. The UR9S features a 4.1.2-channel setup, while the UR8S steps down to a 2.1.2-channel system. Both models introduce a new feature called KiDoodle, which includes a secondary remote that restricts access to child-friendly content curated by human moderators rather than relying solely on algorithms.

Below these flagship models, Hisense continues to offer more traditional Mini LED options. The U8Q returns from the previous year, while the new U7S Pro and U7S expand the mid-range line-up with screen sizes ranging from 50 inches to 100 inches. The Pro version reaches up to 3000 nits and supports a 165Hz refresh rate, along with improved anti-glare treatment, while the standard U7S lowers brightness to 1400 nits and refresh rate to 144Hz.
Further down the range, the E8S provides a more affordable entry point with Mini LED backlighting and a 144Hz refresh rate. Most sizes are rated at 600 nits, although the 50-inch version is said to reach 1000 nits.
Pricing and release dates have not yet been confirmed. However, the company’s recent positioning suggests these models may sit closer to the premium end of the market, setting up a potential contrast with competitors that continue to push aggressive pricing strategies.
