High Speed NBN Uptake Triples

Latest numbers from the NBN Co reveal uptake of top-tier [50Mbps and above] plans have tripled since December 2017 – from 16% to a whopping 44% in May.

The NBN Co’s May monthly progress report reveals more Aussies are moving to top-tier options, with 70% of new orders reportedly for 50Mpbs or higher plans.

Despite this, the majority of NBN end users (56%) continue to purchase 25Mbps (or lower) plans.

The NBN Co attributes its new wholesale discount options for the rise in uptake.

As previously reported, in February NBN Co Chief, Bill Morrow, claimed a rise in top-tier plans was needed for the company to hit its $5 billion annual revenue target by 2020.
