Google Introduces Google Home Max

Google has added another smart speaker to its arsenal, the Google Home Max which was announced at the Made By Google event back in October and now it is available to buy but only in US markets.

The Google Home Max is now the biggest speaker in the family going above the Home and the Home Mini. It is installed with Google Assistant, two 4.5-inch high-excursion woofers and Google says it is 20 times louder than Google Home.

A new feature to the Home family is Smart Sound where the speakers in the device can detect how close it is to the wall in the room and will give you optimal sound depending on that location.

It is available in the US now for US$399, no word on when it will come to Australia or how much it will retail for but Google has said the Home Max will be launching overseas from early 2018 so for those keen, keep your eyes peeled.

But if you’re looking for a Google Home, the price has just dropped at Officeworks, JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman to $128 from $199.
