Google, Fiat To Build Fleet Of 100 Self-Driving Minivans

Google has teamed with carmaker Fiat Chrysler (as tipped by CDN, Tuesday) to build 100 new self-driving cars. The new vehicles will be 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans – example pictured.

The jointly made fleet should start to appear on the road by the end of this year.

The 100 minivans would more than double Google’s current fleet of self-driving vehicles that the company uses to test and refine its technology. The partnership also gives Google a larger vehicle to test its technology.
