Global NAND Flash Market Grows
TAIPEI: Revenues of the global NAND flash industry increased 8.3 percent sequentially to US$13.58 billion in Q1 due mainly to growth in demand for data centre applications.
Market researcher DRAMeXchange said NAND flash shipments during Q1 were on par with the prior quarter’s levels due to demand from the server industry.
NAND flash shipments to server and data centre applications performed relatively stable and component shipments to the notebook and smartphone sectors have also gradually resumed.
DRAMeXchange says it expects the global NAND flash industry output value to continue its sequential growth with the memory contract prices set to rise further.
