Foxtel Launch New FOX-Branded Channels

Foxtel has expanded on its entertainment offering with the launch of four new and exclusive FOX-branded channels including a huge lineup of content, including some of the world’s favourite shows.

Set to go live on November 7, the new channels launched are FOX ONE, FOX FUNNY, FOX H!TS and FOX CRIME – all of which join existing FOX-branded channels FOX SHOWCASE, FOX8 and FOX CLASSICS.

“These new channels are part of an exciting revitalisation of Foxtel’s entertainment offering, bringing an exclusive powerhouse of FOX entertainment brands to our subscribers,” said Brian Walsh, Foxtel’s Executive Director of Television.

“The four new channels, alongside the existing FOX-branded channels, are an unbeatable destination for the best range of premium TV.”

“The new FOX-branded channels will bring a diverse range of content that is aimed to ensure the best entertainment experience for our customers.”

FOX ONE will launch on November 7 with the three-part British drama miniseries The War of the Worlds, the latest adaption of the H.G. Wells’ classic on the same name.

Also premiering on FOX ONE during launch are CBS courtroom drama All Rise and FOX crime drama Prodigal Son.

Several favourites are also planned for the new channel, including Magnum, P.I., Chicago Fire, S.W.A.T., Strike Back, Burden of Truth, Blue Bloods, Sex & The City, The Mentalist, Hawaii Five-O, House, and many more.

Long-running TV soaps such as Days of Our Lives, The Young & The Restless and Shortland Street, previously found on Arena, will now also be calling FOX ONE home.

FOX FUNNY will now be the go-to place for the best comedies and sitcoms, with shows like The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Office, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother and My Name Is Earl shifting over to the new channel.

FOX CRIME will now be the ultimate destination for all things thrills, mystery and murder with key programs shifting over to the new channel, including all CSI and NCIS shows, Bones, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, and Without A Trace, among others.

For the final addition, FOX H!TS will showcase 80s and 90s classics such as Friends, Will and Grace, Frasier, The Nanny, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Seinfeld.

“We know our customers enjoy a wide range of television from favourite dramas to classics, and the latest from around the world, as well as a mix of great comedies,” Walsh said.

“These additional channels join a refreshed Foxtel Movies offering including a new family movie channel – Foxtel Movies Kids – and Australia’s first dedicated 4K Ultra HD movie channel.”
