Revolutionary Fuji X1 “World’s Fastest AF speed”
Thanks to Fujifilm’s EXR Processor II and new X-Trans CMOS II sensor, the new X-T1 has the world’s fastest AF of just 0.08 seconds and a super-fast 0.5 second start-up time.
The Wi-Fi ready X-T1 has a 3″ LCD display and electronic viewfinder (with a 2.36 million dot resolution OLED) with a lag-time of just 0.005 seconds, and the world’s highest viewfinder magnification ratio (0.77x) for a digital camera.
The high end cam has a 0.5 second shooting interval in MF mode-twice the processing speed of predecessors, continuous shooting at approx. 8.0 fps, and Single AF / Continuous AF / MF Distance Indicator mode.
It also takes Full HD video, with continuous recording up to 14 mins.
This is the latest premium interchangeable lens camera to the award winning X Series range, which Fujifilm are hailing as revolutionary,
“The X-T1 incorporates sophisticated and intuitive technology, allowing photographers to maximise their creative flair using an array of manual controls to capture superb images – even in dusty, wet or freezing conditions,” says Fujifilm Australia Product Manager, Melissa Butcher.
It offers a wide-angle view (diagonal 38? and horizontal 31?), and the new Graphic User Interface (GUI) has four display modes: Full, Normal (for sports and action shots), Dual (adds a small second screen), and Portrait.
X-T1 has interval timer shooting, allowing time lapse photography with intervals of one second to 24 hours and up to 999 frames.
It is dust and water resistant camera with approximately 80 points of weather sealing, and freeze resistant to -10?C.
The Camera Remote app and Wireless Communication function lets you take pics remotely from smartphones and tablets, instant transfer and location tag images. You can also back up your pics via Wi-Fi transfer backup
Wireless functions include Touch AF, shutter release for stills and movies, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity, Film Simulation modes, White Balance, macro, timer and flash.
To complement X-T1, Fujifilm is also launching three weather resistant zoom lenses in 2014: XF18-135mmF3.5-5.6 R OIS WR (available mid 2014); XF16-55mmF2.8R OIR WR; XF50-140mmF2.8 R OIS WR.
X-T1 is expected to be available in Australia in early March, no RRP released yet.
