Leaked Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2
An FCC filing has revealed images of what looks to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which is expected to officially launch at Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 7.
Uncovered by Droid Life, the filing includes photos of the smartwatch’s front display, illustrations of its back, as well as details of several UI elements.
Other details found in the filing state that the Active 2 carries the model number SM-R830 and will likely act as the successor to the Galaxy Watch Active, which was released earlier this year.
The new smartwatch looks like it will come in two case styles – aluminium and stainless steel, and will come in silver, black and gold.
The smartwatch looks to come in a choice of 44mm and 40mm sizes and will carry a 1.4-inch and a 1.2-inch display respectively.
Both models will offer a 360×360 pixel resolution and a Super AMOLED screen.
Techradar broke down the leaks further, stating that along with the touch-sensitive bezel, the Galaxy Active Watch 2 is expected to come with an Exynos 9110 chip plus 4GB of storage.
The Bluetooth model of the smartwatch is also expected to come with 768MB of RAM, while the brand-new LTE version will come with 1.5GB of RAM.
