ECOVACS Wins Two Australian Good Design Awards for Robotic Cleaners
ECOVACS ROBOTICS has been awarded two Australian Good Design Awards in the Product Design category for its DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI robotic vacuum and WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI robotic window cleaner.
The awards recognise ECOVACS’ leadership in home service robotics and its commitment to addressing consumer pain points through innovative design solutions.
Launched in Australia earlier this year, the DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI introduces OZMO ROLLER Instant Self-Washing Mopping Technology, an industry-first cleaning system.
The device features TruEdge 2.0 Adaptive Edge Cleaning and AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni-Approach Technology for comprehensive floor coverage.
The Good Design Australia Jury praised the “elegant design solution” and “genuine step change in how mopping is approached,” noting the self-cleaning rolling mop system addresses longstanding consumer frustrations.
Judges highlighted features including anti-tangle technology, edge cleaning capabilities, and design that supports long-term maintenance and repairability.
“The aesthetic is clean and minimal across both the unit and the home base, which adds to its appeal,” the jury stated.
“A solid example of design innovation with clever features that respond to longstanding consumer pain points.”

Launched in late 2024, the WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI is Australia’s first cordless robotic window cleaner with an integrated multi-functional OMNI station.
The device delivers 110 minutes of cable-free cleaning, addressing pain points including power cord requirements, cable clutter, and efficiency concerns.
The system features Three-nozzle Wide-angle Spray Atomisation Technology, WIN-SLAM 4.0 intelligent planning technology, and a 12-stage safety system.
The portable station includes high-capacity battery storage.
Judges described the WINBOT W2 PRO OMNI as addressing “a new, different and genuine user need” in a “simple and thoughtful way,” making indoor and outdoor window cleaning more convenient with reduced planning requirements.
“When the Jury first saw this, they said ‘why didn’t we think of that?!’ which is a great sign,” the jury commented.
“An outstanding contribution to good design.”
“At ECOVACS, our mission of Robotics For All means that every product feature we introduce and evolve is an investment in our customers’ time and quality of life,” said Karen Powell, Regional Director of Australia & New Zealand at ECOVACS ROBOTICS.

“We are delighted to be recognised by the Good Design Awards judging panel and their acknowledgement that ECOVACS continues to drive home service robotics forward in a thoughtful, practical way.”
The Australian Good Design Awards, established in 1958, are the nation’s oldest and most prestigious international design accolade.
This year’s theme, “Design for Better,” highlights how design can enhance quality of life and shape a sustainable future.
The 2025 ceremony will take place October 17 at ICC Sydney, with over 1,000 guests from design, architecture, engineering, and business sectors attending.
“The standard of Award Winners in this year’s Australian Good Design Awards was the highest on record,” said Rachel Wye, Managing Director of Good Design Australia.
“These Awards clearly demonstrate the transformational power of design to create a better and more sustainable future.”
