Motorola Razr Flex Appears on Geekbench With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 12GB RAM
Motorola’s upcoming wide-format foldable smartphone, reportedly called the Razr Flex, has appeared on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 12GB of RAM and Android 17.
offering an early look at the hardware powering the company’s next foldable device.
The listing gives an early look at the hardware behind the company’s next foldable. It suggests Motorola may opt for Qualcomm’s standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset rather than the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which had been suggested in earlier leaks.Â
The phone’s final name and specifications have not been officially confirmed.
According to the listing, the prototype scored 2,669 points in single-core testing and 8,837 points in multi-core testing. The results were recorded using Geekbench 6, meaning they should not be directly compared with scores from Geekbench 7.
The device reportedly appears under the name Razr Flex 27 or Razr Flex 2027, which could reflect Motorola’s naming approach for smartphones sold in North America. The benchmark also identifies 12GB of memory, although it is possible additional RAM configurations could be offered when the phone launches.
Previous leaks suggest the Razr Flex could feature a 6.92-inch internal OLED display with a resolution of 2364 x 1728 pixels and a reported 165Hz refresh rate. A 4.97-inch OLED cover display is expected on the device, to give users quick access to notifications and other functions when the phone is folded.

Another of Motorola’s foldables, the Motorola Razr Fold 5G.
The camera system is tipped to include a 50-megapixel primary rear camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Two 32-megapixel front-facing cameras, reportedly positioned for use with the internal and external displays, could handle selfies and video calls.
Other rumoured specifications include a 5,000mAh battery, 25W wireless charging and 215g weight. Rumoured potential colour options include Pantone Coriander and Pantone Dark Botanical Garden.
One of the benefits of opting for the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 could be in helping Motorola to manage production costs, while also delivering on performance. However, the chipset choice alone does not establish where the phone will sit in the market, and no official pricing information is available.
The Razr Flex is expected to compete in the wide-foldable segment.
Motorola has not announced the device’s official details yet, including name, hardware specs, release date. Current rumours point to a December launch, although that too remains unconfirmed.
