All Is Not Doom & Gloom For CEDIA Members New Insurance Deal Saves Thousands
According to CEDIA Chairman Len Wallis members have been able to slash their insurance costs following the appointment of a new broker and the introduction of several new packages for members. Wallis said that he saved $4,000 by moving to the new insurance offering. “I was able to pay my CEDIA fees out of the savings said Wallis”. The new CEDIA Shield package includes a suite of insurance policies specifically developed for members and related industries said Wallis. The new policies developed by Interrisk can be tailored for the needs of individual members. CEDIA Board member Eris McCarthy said that the potential savings can be greater than the annual CEDIA membership dues. One CEDIA member has already switched their insurance policies and saved in excess of 400% of their annual membership fees he said. Alan Lyne of Interrisk said that he is happy for potential CEDIA members to test this claim before committing. Interrisk will offer a no-commitment assessment of current insurance policies, quote on any existing or upcoming policies and compare these to what the individual companies are already paying. The only stipulation is that if the cost savings are attractive enough for the company to take up the offer (which they believe will be the case) they must first become a CEDIA member. |
