Dirac’s next-gen room correction tech, Live Active Room Treatment (ART), is rolling out to select Denon and Marantz AVRs and preamps via a firmware upgrade.

Room correction tech measures how your speakers interact with your room and digitally fixes the sound.

Unlike earlier Dirac Live tools, ART turns each speaker into part of a coordinated system, actively managing bass and resonance between 20–150 Hz.

The result is a cleaner, more uniform sound across multiple listening positions without the need for heavy acoustic treatment.

Active room treatment makes surround sound all the more immersive

Compatible models include Denon’s X3800, X4800, X6800, A10H, and A1H, as well as Marantz’s Cinema 50, Cinema 40, Cinema 30, AV 20, and AV 10.

To use ART, devices must already support Dirac Live Room Correction and Bass Control. Please note, ART is not a free update — it’s a paid add-on.

Licensing is US$299 ($460). Dirac also offers a bundle covering Room Correction, Bass Control and ART, but local Australian bundle pricing hasn’t been confirmed.

For AV enthusiasts, the upgrade means studio-grade room management without replacing hardware, keeping supported Denon and Marantz units at the cutting edge of home cinema performance.
